Good to be home

As wonderful as it is to get some time away for just the two of us, it is always good to come to Mary's little happy face. Before we left for New York, I put her in my suitcase and she thought it was hilarious. She patted that stack of clothes for half an hour trying to get me to get in the suitcase with her. It was a little harder to pack with this 30 pound chunk of love in my bag.
Mary stayed with my parents while we were gone - which is such a blessing because she loves being with them and they love having her! It's nice to not have to worry about her when we leave. It's only sad that she doesn't show one bit of separation anxiety when we're gone. She loves the world and she's pretty sure that the world loves her too. Other than fruit snacks and pacifiers, this girl doesn't have much to worry about.

So, even though she may not miss us while we're gone, it sure is nice to come home to her and realize that she still loves us too =).

Allie is the same, once she is with someone else she could care less where mommy & daddy are. Mary is so cute!

Hey Sarah, I saw your blog on Katy's. I love the picture of Mary in the suitcase. She looks like she is thinking "come on, you know you wanna get in".
