I am in love.

No, not with this guy, but with his music.

Joshua Radin's new album "Simple Times" - it's fantastic. I listen to to it in the car, while I'm cleaning the house, while I'm running. I'm probably going to make myself sick of it, but it's just that good. He's super mellow and this album is entirely feel good music. Kind of cheesy, but that's my thing. Check out his music here. Hope you absolute love it!

Braves Game

Thanks to the Weathington Firm for dugout seats at the Atlanta Braves game. If the Braves ares stinky this year and nobody else wants the tickets, we'll take them!

Maybe the Braves only scored one run against the Phillies that night . . . but had a great view when it happened! The rest of the night was all about people watching and hot dogs for Charis and me.
This was our gang for the night - Paul, Me, John Smoltz, Charis, Andy, and that guy standing on the dugout. We're all BFF.

Post-game interviews with John Smotlz.

Post game *bling* with Charis and Sarah.
You bet we'll be wearing those hats to the next game.

A climb and a photo shoot

Mary's new favorite trick.
"plime, plime, plime" she says.

And an outfit picked out all by herself.
sweetness.

i.love.craigslist

We found a sweet deal on a bike trailer and a bike seat for Mary. We are in love.

Towing my chubby baby in a pink helmet in some gorgeous fall weather - it doesn't get any better than that.

Decorations

I pulled out a bit of fall decor today. Mary was excited to help. She entertained herself with Christmas ornaments and Easter bunnies while I dug for the few items I could find to make our house feel as much like fall as possible. I left her alone for a minute too long - she wandered from the landing with all her festive toys and found herself a dry erase marker.

I have gotten so much better about making sure I don't leave pens and markers around the house; a few hours of scrubbing pictures off the wall will do that to you. Mary is also getting better about learning to write only on paper and nothing else. I was still a bit mortified when she came down the stairs with marker all over her legs this morning. She was completely embarrassed and was trying her best to cover her little legs so I wouldn't see what she had done. I asked her where the marker was and went to find the rest of the damage on the walls upstairs. I found the marker with a piece of paper she had colored all over, but nothing else. The wall, the furniture, the stairs . . . everything was clean! She was still hiding when I came back down, and wouldn't let me see her legs. She even asked for a paper towel to clean it off. I made a big deal out of her not writing on the walls, we celebrated a bit, she was pretty excited.

She was still too embarrassed to take a picture until we cleaned off her legs. I didn't know I would be so happy about her writing on HERSELF. She's learning! and the walls are clean! I love her!

A Date with Opa

My Dad took a day off of work at the end of August, so we took a day trip to Atlanta for a little end of summer adventure. We spent our morning at the Botanical Gardens and the rest of the day at the Georgia Aquarium. So fun! It definitely made me a little more excited about moving to Atlanta - there are so many fun things to do with children.

Mary was a champ at the Botanical Gardens, she knew that you only smell the flowers and don't touch them. Although her "smelling" is  a little backwards, it's more like blowing your nose on the flowers . . . we hope the gardeners didn't mind.
We were super excited to go to the aquarium - our first trip since it opened, however many years ago? Mary was excited about all the fish, until she fell right to sleep in her stroller and stayed that way for a few hours. When she woke up, she was hardly interested in looking at fish, so that was it for the aquarium.

We played in Centennial Olympic Park for the entire evening - they have some great playgrounds for little ones and some great shady benches for their mamma's! Paul couldn't come with us, but his office overlooks the aquarium and the park - so we count him there.

I really can't do this day justice with a blog post. I think it was just too sweet for words. One of those - take it easy, not a care in the world kind of days. Plus Mary thinks her Opa is one of the most fantastic people on this planet and would gladly talk about him every minute of the day. She couldn't ask for more being able to be OUTSIDE and playing all day with her Opa. One of the best days EVER. We love you Opa!

Go Dawgs

It's football season again! Paul's pretty excited about having a DVR this time around, that means you don't miss a second of any game . . . every week . . . all fall. I have to admit I'm not the biggest football fan - I just can't put that much energy/emotion into it. If a team wins or loses, well, that's about all there is to it for me.

GOING to the games is a different story though, that's the only time I really absolutely love it. We went to the first Georgia game of the season two weeks ago (we, meaning Paul and I - Mary stayed with my Mom - taking her to a football game sounds like a seriously not good time to me). Even though it was deathly hot during that 12:30 game - it was so much fun to be back in Sanford Stadium!

P.S. I really just wanted to post this picture because we all had the same shirt on . . .
