Because I finally broke down and told Mary she's not allowed to marry Luke.
I thought it was adorable when she said she wanted to marry her little brother. She seriously loves him. I knew she would figure it out sooner or later that she couldn't really marry him, so I just went along with it. I even agreed when she asked me to drive them to their apartment after their wedding, since she doesn't know how to drive and all (she has this dream of living in an apartment ... but that's another story). I thought it was precious.
Then she started telling everyone she met that her and her brother were going to get married and have babies together.
Strangers were looking at me funny and teachers/other parents were explaining to her that she can't really marry her brother. So, I sat her down and we had the talk.
She was 100% upset. She didn't want to talk about it at all.
Kind of adorable that her first broken heart is over her little brother.
Thankfully she now understands that since her and Luke are in the same family they have to marry people from a different family (in case any of you were confused about that concept). She is pretty happy with the fact that they get to be brother and sister forever! She has a such a sweet heart.

that is the most precious and hilarious story ever! i hope baby girl loves her little brother (assuming she gets one) that much someday. goodness knows walter and i never loved each other that much!

I remember you telling me you'd let it go until it caused problems...haha. Devin and I just read this together and laughed...and laughed.

What a precious story!!! Give it a few more years and when Luke starts taking her toys and following her and her friends around, she'll probably change her mind about marrying him.
