The Chicken Race

Paul ran this chicken relay race in Gainesville last Saturday with a bunch of our friends from Athens. It was his first race since his marathon last year and I think he couldn't be prouder of his 4.3 miles. Plus, he got all the chicken he could possibly want after this run. Sweet.

{p.s. I definitely stole this picture from Rachel. Thanks!}

Becky's Bridal Shower

Pictures from Becky's bridal shower 4-22-09
"I don't care what we do, as long as we don't do that stupid toilet paper bride game." -Becky
Ha. No, we didn't make her do it.

Only five more days until Becky is officially part of the family!

Wedding Marathon

My bestie from high school got married yesterday and my brother is getting married this Saturday. SO I spent the last four days in Athens for a marathon of a bridal shower, bachelorette party, lingerie shower, bridal luncheon, rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, sleep over, ceremony and reception. After four busy days and only a few hours of sleep a night (thanks to an excited bride), I came home from church this morning and took a four hour nap (and I'm still tired)! I think I'm more tired than I was after my own wedding! but it was all worth it because Nicole was 100% the most gorgeous bride I have ever seen.

Congratulations Mrs. Aldridge!

The Best of Craiglist

It's tan, it's wrinkly, it's fleshy.
Who decided to put the crack right down the middle of this one?

Easter Sunday 2009

Pictures from Easter at my parents house.

Being the only grandchild for my parents has plenty of perks for Mary. Like, once you've found all of your Easter eggs, Oma will hide them for you again, so you can find them all a second time! You also get to decorate the bunny cake all by yourself, with piles of icing and 1 million jelly beans, if you choose.
We had a vicious adult easter egg hunt after dinner.
which Paul won by a long shot. for the third year in a row.
Share the eggs!

Easter Saturday

We just had the absolute best Easter weekend possible. I took way too many pictures (because it was all just too much fun), so I'm posting a handful of my favorites.

The Easter Bunny came to our house on Saturday morning, since he knew we would be gone on Sunday. He also knew that Mary would be getting plenty of candy elsewhere, so he brought her all sorts of happy surprises like sidewalk chalk and water colors.

{"SWEET - safety scissors AND a toothbrush"}
So after we all settled down from the Easter bunny excitement, we headed out for a weekend in Athens. We just left the classic city three months ago, and it's already fun to go back. Man, we love Athens.
We also love Cali-n-Titos and their awesome Cuban food. Now that we are tourists, we can eat there every time we visit. So, we do.

Saturday afternoon was Georgia's spring scrimmage game, so we headed down to Sanford Stadium with my Dad and Cory for the G-Day Game.

"GO DAWGS!"
The Spring game ... it's free, the weather is gorgeous, the city isn't crowded, the seats are awesome, and you know Georgia is going to win. Even though the dawgs are playing themselves, it's still fun.
The guys went golfing and we hung out at my parents house for the rest of the night, watching the Braves game and grilling out for dinner. Really, everything good about life, all rolled into one day.
